International, award-winning freelance art director/graphic designer, working between Ireland, the US and Qatar.
Senior Art Director
Over 10 years-experience with top Irish advertising agency, Irish International BBDO. Worked on projects for both Irish and international accounts, including Carlsberg; the national radio station, Today FM; the luxury brand, Hennessy; Ireland’s leading dairy food producer, Avonmore; Ireland’s biggest selling newspaper, the Irish Independent; the soft drinks company, 7Up; the major Irish food producer, Donegal Catch; Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA); the Irish independent body for consumer information, the National Consumer Agency; and the Irish state agency promoting road safety, the Road Safety Authority (RSA). I have experience working in all media, TV, Outdoor, Press and Digital.
Graphic Designer
Won first prize for best publication design, American Alliance of Museums (2016), for seven books in the acclaimed Famine Folios series for Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum, Quinnipiac University, Connecticut, USA (ongoing).
Design of new installation/exhibition America Comes to Ireland’s Aid (2016).
Also designed collateral material for the museum, including pamphlets on new acquisitions, such as on Jack B. Yeats and William Crozier.
Lead designer for major international exhibition, Coming Home: Art and the Great Hunger. This is one of the biggest exhibitions to travel from the US to Ireland and will be shown at three venues, including Dublin Castle. I have designed all material from rack cards to the catalogue, posters, press ads and educational material.
Bespoke Designer
Personal and wedding stationary designer, as featured on Style Me Pretty in the US and in Social and Personal Wedding Magazine.
Education
B. Des, Visual Communication, National College of Art and Design (NCAD) the major art school in Ireland.
MSc in Advertising (Creative Stream), Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT).
I have a passion for the creative process, and work equally successfully as part of a team or individually. My design work is inspired by my love of art, my travels, literature, music and popular culture.
